The challenge: As Creative Lead and Editor of Netflix UK’s social accounts agency-side, I was tasked with speaking directly to pre-existing followers and subscribers and growing brand advocacy among them.
The solution: I led an around-the-clock newsroom of designers, producers, and social creatives, creating platform-first content that went big on relatability and community, specifically tapping into Britishness as the distinguishing factor that set @NetflixUK apart from the other regional accounts.
The results: Harnessing a ‘superfan of superfans’ tone of voice that spoke truly authentically to each platform’s core audiences, we saw huge success, growing our Instagram followers by 300k+ in my first 5 months on the account alone (as well as Ted Sarandos saying he’s a fan of the account 👼).
